I seriously don’t get all the hate for applejack. while she isn’t my favorite, why all the hate?

I have every reason to love Applejack as a concept, but she’s basically a victim of inconsistent writing and being upstaged in her own episodes, which wind up with attention either going to someone funnier or flashier in that episode, or even losing focus to her own family members.  Also, honestly?  She’s following family tradition, going into the family business, has no major issues with her upbringing, works hard for everything she has, deals mostly with modern adult level problems, and…  That’s not interesting to most people anymore.  Part of Pinkie’s appeal is being nearly the exact opposite person from the same background.  It says more about the audience than Applejack.

In short, the writers hate AJ -_-

Nah, she’s just the more “normal” one. The one that actually has normal family values, and a normal family. Nothing insane or anything. She’s just too, well, normal for the fans.
