Yeah, and TOR is a bit of a flop.
They spent too much time on the leveling, aka “Single-player”, and screwed over the end-game. There is none. At all. I love BioWare, but they need to stay away from MMO’s, imo.
I wouldn’t say they’re only there for that reason…
Kira had a pretty dang huge role in the Jedi Knight’s storyline. Doc seemed like he was the only one there for the female PCs to, as you said it, “boink.” It’s been a while since I played SWTOR. I don’t recall all the other companions, but I know Kira and Scourge(That was the sith pureblood’s name, right?) were pretty dang important to the story. More important than the other companions.
Scourge is the ENTIRE reason TOR is happening as it is.
Read Revan - he’s a major character in there too.
Most companions have some reason to be there - Kira is your new Padawan. Mako wants revenge for her mentor’s death. Risha is helping you find the treasure. The like. They’re not “just there” to have sex with, they have relatively important plot points. There are more useless and less explained companions - T7 and Rusk spring to mind, for the JK.
